Who we are

Two generations
of spiral engineers.

Stag Spirals is run by Jack Wilkinson, who has spent nearly twelve years on spiral freezers across mechanical, refrigeration and electrical work. His dad has been in the trade for over fifty.

Over the years we've supplied spirals right across Europe and to the rest of the world, from Sri Lanka to New Zealand. Now we build our own.

Compact spiral built, tested and shipped to Croatia

Another of our compact spirals has left the workshop, this one bound for Croatia.

It was built and run-tested here in our Leeds workshop before it went anywhere. Once it passed, the team raised the whole insulated enclosure on scissor tables to trailer height and loaded it straight onto the lorry, with the control panel wrapped up for the journey.

Because it leaves us fully assembled and tested, there is very little to do on site. Set it down, connect the refrigeration and power, and it is ready to commission.

Spiral freezer installed in Malta

Our engineering team has just finished installing a spiral freezer for a food producer in Malta.

The job covered setting the spiral in its insulated enclosure, fitting the infeed and outfeed conveyors, and wiring up the stainless steel control panel. The clips show the stainless mesh belt running up through the tiers inside the freezer.

Installs abroad are a big part of what we do. We send our own engineers, so the people fitting your spiral are the same people who know it inside out.
